Jewelry

Sally Pray’s passion for glass began at a young age while growing up in Hudson, Wisconsin, in the historic Wells Fargo Pony Express Hotel, where she was one of ten children. Some of her earliest artistic memories are of watching her mother create stained glass—an experience that sparked a lifelong fascination with the beauty of glass and light.

That passion was reignited more than a decade ago when Sally enrolled in her first stained glass class, setting her on a creative journey that naturally evolved into fused glass jewelry design. Primarily self-taught, Sally has developed her own distinctive artistic style, further inspired by training with internationally recognized glass artist Patty Gray.

Today, Sally’s work is instantly recognizable for its vibrant color, depth, and one-of-a-kind craftsmanship. One of the most unique aspects of her jewelry is her signature technique of designing both the front and back of each piece—because, as she says, “You gotta look good whether you’re coming or going.”

A reflection of Sally’s heart and soul can be found in every design she creates.

Now living on beautiful Camano Island, Washington, Sally draws endless inspiration from the ever-changing natural beauty surrounding her studio—glowing sunsets over Saratoga Passage, dramatic winter storms, and the majestic Olympic Mountains beyond. Her creative inspiration can come from anywhere: a mood, a memory, a movie playing in the background, or even a quiet evening with a glass of wine while designing.

Her husband often jokes, “She dreams of seeing people all over the world wearing her feelings on their ears, necks, and fingers.” Sally laughs because, in many ways, it’s absolutely true.

Sally especially loves working with dichroic glass for its extraordinary vibrancy and dimensional color created during the kiln-fusing process. Every piece begins with the glass itself, allowing the final design—whether earrings, necklaces, rings, or wearable art—to emerge naturally based on the color, shape, and personality of the fused glass. No two pieces are ever exactly alike.

Her work has received award recognition, including first and third place honors in an Art Guild exhibit, and her jewelry has been featured in boutiques, galleries, art shows, and collections both nationally and internationally. Her designs have reached notable collectors, including Maria Shriver and Oprah Winfrey.

Beyond jewelry, Sally’s artistic passions include mosaics, painting, clay, and gardening—creative pursuits that continue to inspire her ever-evolving work.

Each piece Sally creates is more than jewelry—it is wearable art, infused with beauty, emotion, and a little piece of her soul.
